Some of the guests enjoying dinner!
Pap and Grandma drove down on Thursday from Ohio pulling a trailer with all the gear needed to roast a pig. Daddy had ordered a pig from a local meat shop so on Friday they went around getting tables, supplies, and the pig. Early Sat. morning they got up and bathed the pig in grease and prepped the spit and by 8:30 that pig was a turning. It roasted until about 3:30--party time. While it roasted Daddy had to go pick up tables and chairs we had rented and I had to go get balloons for decorating and cupcakes to have for celebrating your b-days. We managed to get decorating done, tables set up and everything ready in time for the party! Thankfully you boys took good naps so you woke up ready to play!
The party officially started at 3:30 but it was about 4:15 when people started pouring in. We had lots of yummy food and the pork came out delicious. We ate, the kids played, we enjoyed sack races, cookie decorating, pinata, corn-hole, and finally smores around a bonfire Daddy made. Though we had intended to play some volleyball and have a pumpkin roll, people enjoyed just fellowshiping, which was wondeful!

Smores and bonfire fun!
I was so thankful to have Grandma here to help with Nate because he was hard to keep an eye on. We could not have done it without Pap and Grandma! We had a wonderful time despite missing out on the good food--we were too busy hosting but it was a joy!
It may become a tradition...we'll see.
